Attaching electrodes to the body and using a certain programmed electrical frequency will stimulate the muscles, increase blood flow, relax muscle tension, break adhesions and scarring in the soft tissues, decrease pain, and speed healing. In some specific conditions, properly applied muscle stimulation will also increase muscular strength which is great after an injury or after surgery. Many sports injuries respond favourably to certain types of muscle stimulation. Our clinic has 7 different electrical stimulation machines, all designed to do different things for different conditions.
