Prescription orthotics are custom made inserts which fit into your shoes to help relieve pain or cure certain foot and spinal problems. Orthotics work on the feet the same way that braces work on the teeth-by exerting gentle consistent pressure to bring foot muscles and bones back into proper alignment. Orthotics can be used for plantar fasciitis, heel spur syndrome, bunions, Morton’s neuroma, metatarsalgia, pronation, supination, and many other conditions. Sometimes orthotics are prescribed for a knee, hip or back problem. If someone has a curved spine (scoliosis) or a short leg orthotics with a built in heel raise can be effective in balancing the spine and realigning the body. There are literally hundreds of types of orthotics that can be made depending on the problem, and we have all taken post graduate training in the proper fitting of custom orthotics. We use the most modern scanning equipment to help us diagnose your condition. Read more about orthotics.
